Open daily from 9-5 (Closed on Christmas) the Royal Botanic Gardens in Cranbourne is a great day out. Within a few minutes of our arrival we had seen our first bilby and we were barely out of the car park! We began our day at the Woodland Picnic Area so we could sit down and have some lunch, there were toilets, undercover seating and so much room for the kids to run around and they loved the sandy playground, with loads for them to climb on. 

 

After grabbing a quick coffee from the cafe, we continued into the gardens and had a bit of a splash between the flags in the rock pool waterway and a wander around, it was a beautiful walk, I wish we could have stayed to enjoy it all, but there was too much for us to see in one visit with our boys.
