If my money free was fruitful I would live here. But it’s not, so we have to settle for regular visit to this beautiful beachside suburb.

Williamstown really does tick all of the boxes – it is close to the city, there are numerous parks and playgrounds, you can catch a ferry to the city, expore ships on the pier or eat at so many wonderful restaurants that lie along Nelson Place or Ferguston St. There is a swimming beach, a botanic garden and you can get your dose of history at Point Gellibrand Heritage Park.

Oh and the ice cream! The Ice Cream Shoppe’s Toffee Apple flavor is my favourite.
