Plum Garland Memorial Park has something for everyone to enjoy. You need to know this though.... If you are visiting in summer then you need to bring swimmers and probably a shovel and a bucket too. In the colder months, gumboots are a great idea. There is 2 hour paid parking at the front- you need to bring change, unless you park in the 1 hour parking across the road. They will get wet.... and sandy.... and have SO much fun! There are water fountains, sand everywhere, swings, loads of things to climb and play and dig. There is shade and loads of places for watching parents to sit. We have always enjoyed our time here. There are toilets near by, and being located on the beach, it is fully fenced to protect wandering toddlers from going for a swim. There is also a volleyball net on the beach nearby. Definitely one of our favourites :)
